The injury bug bit on the UFC in the buttocks now as Rory MacDonald is due to a neck injury. In MacDonald’s place steps Johny Hendricks, and he will fight with Condit in the co-main event of this day. The information was originally reported by MMAjunkie.com’s John Morgan. With the switcheroo — that is very disappointing to all viewing as though Condit vs. MacDonald was an early favorite to win”Battle of the Night” — Jake Ellenberger, who was set to combat Hendricks, is left without an opponent, although it’s rumored Tyron Woodley may take the fight on short notice. Anticipate the MMA chances for Hendricks vs. Condit to be somewhat aggressive, though Hendricks will probably be a small favorite as a result of his wrestling advantage. Jansen vs. Held Postponed Again An injury to Marcin Held has forced the postponement of his Bellator Season 7 Lightweight Tournament Final from Dave Jansen for the next time, according to a report by MMAjunkie.com. The lightweights were first set to meet at Bellator 84 but the Athletic Commission wouldn’t permit Held, that was 20 at the time, to go into the casino and the fight was scratched in the last moment. The rain date, that was set to take place has been rearranged too, and the two will meet at Bellator 93.
